Daniel Guillemette has been the Police Technology Program coordinator at Ellis College since
2013. He retired from the Sûreté du Québec provincial police force in 2013, after a 26-year career during which he worked as a crime scene specialist for 15 years.
He is a recognized expert witness in the courtroom for crime scenes, fingerprints and photography. In addition, he was a trainer and resource person in CBRNE and clandestine laboratory scene examination. He also taught at the École nationale de police in Nicolet, Québec, training crime scene officers and fire investigators (photography section). In addition, he taught the crime scene course in the Police Technology Program at Ellis College (Drummondville) for six years.
He is a member of the International Association for Identification (IAI) and the Association Québécoise de Criminalistique (AQC).
